Who we are
Insaat is an audio series and audiobook streaming app. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Account information — your phone number, or the email address and name shared by Google or Apple when you sign in with them.
- Authentication data — one-time passcodes (stored hashed and short-lived) and session tokens needed to keep you signed in.
- Listening activity — playback position, favourites and recently played titles, so you can continue where you left off.
- Subscription and payment information — plan, status and the payment reference returned by our payment processor. Card details are never seen or stored by us.
- Technical data — basic request and error information needed to keep the service reliable and secure.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone or SMS messages, and the app does not request those permissions.
How we use your data
To create and secure your account, deliver audio content, remember your progress, process subscriptions, and to prevent abuse of the one-time passcode system.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, Razorpay for payments, and an SMS provider to deliver one-time passcodes. These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deleting removes your profile, listening history and favourites. Payment and invoice records are retained where required by law.
Children
Insaat is not directed at children under 13.
